A report from Eric for mikescatchreport.com
It was my birthday so I went fishing!

I headed out to one of our favorite spots this afternoon as the tide was heading down. I arrived at the parking lot around 2:30pm, I geared up and bgan wading south. The winds were coming in off the ocean so I had a hard time finding the right direction to cast to the fish.

I made some ugly cast and the line just piled up on me. I finally got the right position and “BAM” a hook up! The fish started to take line out of the reel and soon I was into my backing. This fish gave me a good fight. I finally landed it and it and it weighed 4 1/2 pounds.

I continued to wade south along the coast and made a couple of cast. Another hook up! This fish took line and backing fast and I had to tighten the drag to slow the fish. As I got it in close there was a big splash and the hook came loose. The fish was gone.

I walked maybe 30 yards and had another hook up. I fought this fish to hand and it weighed an even 3 pounds.

It was almost time for me to leave so I decided to try fishing around a coral head about 10 yards away. I made two cast and hooked up again. This was another 3 pound bonefish.

It was great! Today the fish gods gave me a bunch of gifts for my birthday!
