A report from Eric for mikescatchreport.com
I went out this morning to fly fish the flats. The tide was heading down but it was a small drop and was not going to be a factor in the fishing.

I started out by hooking a bonefish way out by the breakers. It shredded my leader but I got it in and it was a solid 3 pounds. I fished my way down to
The Rock and caught this small rat--not a bad fight. I called it a day after that.

I’m going to Kauai for Spring Break and I will send you pictures if I catch anything.

EQUIPMENT: Use a fast action 8 or 9 weight rod and floating line with an aggressively tapered leader and heavy tippet.
