A report from Eric for mikescatchreport.com
I went out this morning with SteveT to fly fish for some bones on the south shore flats. We arrived at the parking lot at 6am and walked down the beach about a quarter mile before stepping into the water to begin fishing.

Steve got a strike first and landed a 2 pound
o’io. After he released his fish it was my turn, catching a fish about the same size as his.

We continues to walk down the coast and cast, but had no takers. Then SteveL joined us and caught a 3 pounder and a Mongoose fish for his frying pan.

SteveL had to leave so SteveT and I continued to fish. I hooked up with another bonefish and this one was just a bit shy of 3 pounds. After that one I had to leave too but SteveT continued to fish down the coast. I told him to let me know if he catches anything but I got a text from him later saying that nothing bit.

EQUIPMENT: Use a fast action 8 or 9 weight rod and floating line with an aggressively tapered leader and heavy tippet.
