A report from SteveT
After a few years of flogging the water (and several million casts) in the delta I've finally been able to land another double digit striped bass.

Nick and I went out fly fishing on Friday and we started out pretty late, about 8 am.

Fished the usual spots on the upper part of Franks Tract during the very slow falling tide but only picked up a few dink stripers.

Just before slack tide we fished one of our favorite spots close ot the edge of the reeds. Surprisingly enough as the tide got more slack we start picking up more fish. At about 11 am, at what suppose to be slack tide, I pick up this nice 10-pound fish. It pulled so hard it started towing the boat around.

We continued to hook more fish but once the tide started to rise the bite stopped.
Very strange.

Overall it's a very nice day. I must have caught about 15 fish including the 10-pounder and a 5-pound plus several marginally legal fish.

All fish where caught on a medium size chartreuse and white fly throwing a lead core T-14 shooting head on my 8-weight Sage Xi2.
